Last night we visited Ørsted Ølbar to get a few craft beers, but G&T lovers as we are, we ended up having a single G&T anyway. Ørsted has quite a nice selection of Gins, and are using Fentimans as their mixer.
We had a good classic Monkey 47 with Fentimans, which was quite lovely! So if you are dragged along to Ørsted Ølbar, you can get your Gin needs taken care of as well!
If you, like me, like your G&T around 1 part Gin 2 part Tonic, you should ask them to give you the bottle of Fentimans, as they pour a bit to much Tonic for my taste.
If you're there, and they still have it on tap, give the Oppigård Thurbo Stout a taste though, it's a lovely stout!
I'll end up with a small look back at the last few weeks, where we haven't posted, but have had a few G&T's anyway ;-)
We had the lovely, but still very special Copenhagen Dry Gin, mixed with Pellegrino Tonic and Thyme, just like Copenhagen Distillery suggests on their webpage, and it is a nice mix!
I will say, the Copenhagen Dry Gin is a very special gin, that will surprise you, but grow on you. I'm finding it almost tequilaish in the taste. I'm not 100% sure, but i believe it's the sweetness from the honey (it's distilled from honey) that has some of the same sweetness that you get from the agave cacti.
